Our Location
The Alpha Storage Michigan City office and loading dock is located ½ block off the intersection Green Street and Chicago Street. We’re adjacent to Moore’s Auto Repair and ½ mile southwest of Lighthouse Place Premium Outlets and downtown Michigan City. If you attend Ivy Tech Michigan City and Purdue University Northwest, clear out your dorm room or apartment and rent a space with us today. We’re perfectly located to serve Long Beach, IN and surrounding Lake Michigan communities of Michiana Shores, Grand Beach and Beverly Shores. Our services aren’t limited to those in Michigan City, anyone in Pottawatomie Park or Trail Creek can depend on us to solve all of their residential and commercial needs. Stop by when you need a secure place to store!
Alpha Storage Michigan City is a multi-story brick building, equipped with a security system to ensure each item you store stays in the same condition throughout your time storing with us. For added security beyond our cameras and other security features, access to the floors and units is only available with employee assistance since they’re the only people allowed to operate the elevator. If you’re searching for convenience, our employee operated elevator, loading dock and complimentary on-site carts and dollies will help you move your items into the storage unit with ease.
Vehicle Storage
If keeping your boat, car, RV or camper out of the weather in the off-seasons is important to you, we have both indoor heated spaces as well as outdoor fenced and gated spaces. Call at least 6-months ahead of your needed storage date to rent a space inside or be put on a wait-list. We have many loyal, satisfied, repeat customers as well as year-round renters, so space is limited! Our inside RV spaces accomodate up to 30’ and boat storage up to 23’ (tip to tail or trailer tongue to prop).

From Long Beach, IN or locations Northeast of Michigan City, IN:
- Drive to US-12 W in Michigan City
- Drive west on US-12 (E 2nd St) merging with W Michigan Blvd
- Continue west on W Michigan Blvd about 1 mile Willard Ave
- Turn left onto Willard Ave and drive about 0.5 miles to Green St
- Turn left onto Green St heading east and drive 2 blocks
- Alpha Storage Michigan City will be on the left
- Via US-20 (coming from Southwest MI or East of Michigan City:
- Head west on US-20 to Hitchcock St, turn right onto Hitchcock St
- Drive 1.5 miles and turn right onto Chicago St.

- Go one block and cross the tracks at Chicago St
